Type: Alternate Earth
The Inferior 5 were the original legacy heroes. Back in the Silver Age, while Barry Allen had little to do with Jay Garrick (at least at first) and Hawkman the archaeologist and Hawkman the space cop had yet to be linked through reincarnation, there was still the Inferior 5, children of a past generation of beloved heroes.On Earth-12, that is. There, the Justice Society was called the Freedom Brigade and looked more like the Justice League. Captain Swift (Flash)! The Bowman (Green Arrow)! Princess Power (Wonder Woman)! The Mermaid (Aquaman)! And of course, Mr. Might (Superman)! (Uncle Sam and Miss America are also in the mix as the Patriot and Lady Liberty.)
Originally, Mr. Might had Superman's colors reversed, but above is the "corrected" reprint. The lightning bolt on his chest may hint at a confusion with Captain Marvel, which the colors helped define, and isn't it sad that Captain Swift had to sacrifice his chest emblem to the cause? We don't know Mr. Might's secret identity except that his surname is Brent (instead of Kent).
Mr. Might and the Mermaid hooked up and had a son: Awkwardman. So sharpen your pencils, slashfic fans! I think I just gave you a land and sea scenario for Earth-1's version.
