Dell's Werewolf : What the--?!
So Dell acquires the rights to the classic Universal monsters. They start the story with a movie adaptation and then... SUPERHEROES!!! Yay! Dell goes Marvel! NOT! You've seen their Dracula, you've seen their Frankenstein, what you haven't seen in their Wolf Man:
After that #1 though, they change the lead character's name to Werewolf, which seems fine, which sounds less superheroey, but that's not all they change...
A guy in a black unitard fighting communists with his pet arctic wolf Thor? See, he's a "werewolf" because while he had amnesia, he fell in with a pack of these sabertoothed, definitely brown arctic creatures and lived among them. Uh-huh. Ok.
If his gimmick had at least been to make enemies believe he turned into the wolf, that might've been something. Actual gimmicks: He was hypnotized to be able to change his facial features (!!) and his body stocking is only a molecule thick but protects him from all harm.
Dell thankfully stuck to a trilogy. I can't imagine what they would have done with the Creature from the Black Lagoon...
